Who We Are

About EquaDem Network Plus

The EquaDem Network Plus is the first national network dedicated to tackling inequalities in dementia diagnosis and care. We bring together leading researchers, practitioners, and people with lived experience to co-create practical solutions that improve access, diagnosis, and support for people living with dementia and their carers.

Our Purpose

Finding Solutions to Inequalities in Dementia Care

EquaDem Network Plus is a five-year national collaboration running from 2025 to 2029. Our mission is to understand and address inequalities in how dementia is diagnosed and managed across communities. Through research, internships, pilot projects, and public involvement, we aim to influence policy, improve care practices, and enhance the lives of those affected by dementia.

How We Work

Collaboration Across Sectors

We believe lasting change happens when diverse voices work together. The network brings together experts from academia, health and social care, charities, and those with lived experience of dementia. This collaborative approach ensures our research and recommendations are grounded in real-world experience and focused on creating meaningful impact.

Looking Ahead

Driving Change Through Research and Engagement

By building a Community of Research and Practice, EquaDem Network Plus seeks to inform policy, influence service design, and promote more equitable access to dementia care. Our goal is to ensure every person living with dementia, and every carer, receives the support they deserve, regardless of who they are or where they live.
