In May 2025, EquaDem Network Plus hosted a lunchtime webinar featuring DEMCOMM research fellows Dr Megan Readman (University of Liverpool), Dr Sanda Ismail (Lancaster University), and Dr Marie Poole (Newcastle University).
The session explored topics including hearing loss, rarer dementia subtypes, and the inequalities faced by people from minority ethnic backgrounds, with particular focus on South Asian communities. Speakers also discussed wider structural inequalities and approaches to addressing them through research and practice.
