Collaboration & Opportunity

Public Consultation Groups

Equadem Network plus has brought together two public consultation groups, based in Liverpool and Newcastle

About EquaDem Consultation Groups

Who are they?

The groups are made up of people with lived experience of dementia. They are either living-with-dementia, unpaid carers, or they are working with people with dementia in health or social care.

When do they meet?

The group meets twice a year at the University of Liverpool or Newcastle and remotely.

What do they do?

They are invited to join our regular events and are consulted about research funding and internships. They join together with researchers, charities social care and NHS workers, sharing their experiences of diagnosis and support, contributing to our collaborative research and co-production workshops, working together to improve the future of dementia diagnosis and care. Our public consultation groups will shape all aspects of our EquaDem Network Plus.
